What is the Daniel Fast?

The Daniel Fast is a diet created by Dr. Joel Fuhrman, M.D., and it’s been popularized by John Robbins in his book “The Food Revolution” and the movie of the same name.

The guidelines for this fast are simple: you’re allowed to drink water and tea (no coffee), eat fruits, vegetables, whole grains and beans, nuts and seeds but no animal products or processed foods like bread or pasta.

It’s recommended that you do this fast for 21 days straight before eating anything else again – so it can be overwhelming if not done correctly!

Daniel Fast Chinese Food

I’m not a big fan of Chinese food, but I decided to try the Daniel Fast Chinese Food at Panda Express. I wanted to see if it would be possible to eat healthily and still enjoy fast food.

The Daniel Fast is a 21-day spiritual journey where you only eat fruits, vegetables, nuts and grains (no meat or dairy). It’s based on the Bible verse in Leviticus, which says, “you are allowed to eat anything that lives in water.”

I have been doing this for about ten days now, so far, so good! Let’s talk about how good my chicken broccoli was.

The chicken had great flavour with no fat chunks like other fast-food chains tend to have. There were also plenty of fresh veggies.

How to make Daniel Fast Chinese Food

This blog post will teach you how to make Chinese food while on the Daniel Fast. For this to work, you will need a few items not included in your typical grocery list.

You can find these items at most Asian markets or online stores. The most important thing is getting the proper ingredients so you don’t feel you’re missing out on anything during your fast.

Once we have all our ingredients together, we’ll get started with cooking some Kung Pao Chicken! I’m sure everyone has heard of or tried Chinese food before, but what about making it yourself?

Today, I’ll be teaching you how to cook up some yummy Kung Pao chicken while also staying true to the Daniel Fast guidelines.

Daniel Fast Vegetarian Options

An increasingly popular diet choice for Christians is the Daniel Fast. The fast, first introduced in the Bible as a three-week dietary regimen observed by Daniel and his friends, consists of avoiding all foods derived from animals.

This can include meats, eggs, dairy products and any other items that are not plant-based.  The purpose of this fast is to bring one closer to God through prayer and self-control.

For those who do not eat meat for religious reasons or out of personal preference, vegetarian options are also available during this time frame.

By following some simple guidelines, you too can participate in this powerful spiritual experience without compromising your health or breaking your budget!

Daniel Fast Sample Menu with Shopping List

When I first started a Daniel Fast, I was excited to learn about new recipes approved for the fast. As a busy mom, it isn’t easy to find time to cook from scratch in my day.

My husband and kids are picky eaters, so finding new things they would be willing to try is even more challenging.

After going on the Daniel Fast myself and learning how delicious some of these recipes can be, I’ve decided to share with you a few of my favourite recipes found online.

If you haven’t tried one before or have been thinking about giving it a go this year…here is your chance! Let me know if there are any specific ones you’d like me to add below! Enjoy!

Conclusion

You can expect to find favourites like sweet and sour chicken, egg rolls, ginger beef with broccoli, kung pao shrimp.

But what you will love is the authentic flavours that make this place so different from your local Chinese take-out spot. Be sure to visit Daniel Fast for a taste of Eastern culture!
